Nearby there is a crocodile farm, a center for extracting snake venom and the school of painting and sculpture.
Rameshvaram
A small island which is full of exotic places and connected to land with one of the engineering wonders of the country - the Indira Gandhi Bridge. The sea is very quiet and calm, with coral reefs and marine life. The beach is ideal for swimming and sunbathing. You can see dolphins here.
Kanyakumari
This unique beach is surrounded by waters of three seas: the Bay of Bengal, Indian Ocean and Arabian Sea. The beach is colorful, but the shore around rocky, uncomfortable and even dangerous. Local police have asked tourists not to climb to the rocks. Beach is not suitable for swimming, its main attraction - in the beautiful forms of marine sunsets and sunrises. In the sea opposite the beach, a rocky islet rises - Vivekanandas Rock, which built the memorial of Swami Vivekananda, who once meditated here. The only site on the beach, where you can swim a little, without the risk of hit with stones, is a place for ablutions - gazebo with columns at the edge of the acute tip of Kanyakumari.

The beach is located 40 km away from the noisy city Chennai, and offers travelers a pleasant privacy. Here you can engage in virtually any water sports. Another attraction of the area - a system of canals between Alleppi and Kovelong. Tours of the channels are held in the traditional Indian boats, following the water with the picturesque palm groves, rice plantations, and dozens of coastal temples.
