Australian writer who insulted the King of Thailand, is free.

Australian writer Harry Nicolaides, convicted of insulting the royal family in Thailand, was released to freedom, and sent home to Melbourne after he forgave the governor Phumipon Adulyadet country.
The cause of the problems with the law as a novel "credibility", written by Australians, formerly a professor at a university in northern Thailand, in 2005, and authorities deemed insulting to Thailand's monarch. In 2007, the government of Thailand issued a warrant for the arrest of the writer, however, the arrest took place only in August 2008, while imprisoned by Harry Nicolaides was in the middle of last month. It should be noted that all were sold seven copies of the book.
According to the laws of insulting Thailand's royal person is considered a criminal offense and is punishable by imprisonment for a term of three to fifteen years. Defendant threatened to six years' imprisonment, the sentence was later reduced to three years because the defendant admitted his guilt. However, the offender was released from prison in Bangkok last Friday, because he was pardoned by the king.
